Roy, of Saranac Lake, N.Y., heads into today’s finals leading Britain’s Mark Tout by nearly a full second. With Jim Herberich of Winchester, Mass., on the brake, Roy posted the two fastest times of the day--1:00.80 and 1:00.97.
Brent Rushlaw, with Hal Hoye of Malone, N.Y., on the brake, is in third place, four tenths of a second behind the British sled.
