Unbeaten Francesco Damiani of Italy won the World Boxing Council junior heavyweight title by knocking out American Eddie Gregg in the first round at Lucca, Italy.
Damiani, 28, shook Gregg with two right hooks and finished him off with a combination less than two minutes into the fight.
Damiani (16-0) has won 14 fights by knockout. Gregg, 33, is 24-3-1.
