Local News in Brief : Police Say Fall Killed Man at Stony Point
A 23-year-old man who was found dead at the base of a popular rock-climbing area in Chatsworth apparently fell to his death, police said Monday.
Los Angeles Police Lt. Frank Malan said authorities were still investigating the exact cause of death of the man, who was found by a motorist about 8 a.m. Sunday at the foot of a rock formation known as Stony Point. The formation is just east of Topanga Canyon Boulevard, near the Simi Valley Freeway.
The identity of the man is being withheld pending notification of relatives, police said.
