The New Jersey Devils of the NHL have lost $8.5 million since moving to New Jersey from Colorado 4 1/2 years ago, owner John McMullen said.

Attendance through 29 home games this year has averaged 12,057, down from last season’s 12,815. McMullen also owns the Houston Astros baseball team.
