Three firms teamed up to seek a NASA contract.

Two California companies and one from the Virginia said their team will compete for an 11-year, $1-billion contract to provide support services for NASA’s space station program. Participating in the joint bid are the Redondo Beach-based electronics and defense sector of TRW of Cleveland, the Sunnyvale, Calif.-based missiles and space division of Lockheed, and Planning Research Corp. of McLean, Va., a subsidiary of Emhart Corp.
