Matt Roy of Saranac Lake broke his own course record in winning the World Cup four-man bobsled competition at Mount Van Hoevenberg near Lake Placid, N.Y.

Roy’s single heat time of 58:75 broke the mark he set Saturday of 58.99 for the 1,500-meter bobsled run. His four-heat total was 3:55.49.

Canadian Greg Haydenluck finished second at 3.56.56 and Bob Horvath of Youngstown, Ohio, was third at 3:57.42.
