Architect Charles Moore will chair an 11-member jury that will pick a winning entry in an open international design competition this spring for the West Hollywood Civic Center, Mayor Steve Schulte said Wednesday. Other members of the panel are Caesar Pelli, architect of the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood; landscape architect Diana Ballmori; Los Angeles Olympics designer Deborah Sussman; architect Ricardo Legoretta of Mexico City; urban designer Peter Walker; and Robert Harris, dean of the USC School of Architecture. Urban planner and designer Michael John Pittas will serve as the competition adviser. The civic center project’s cost is estimated at $10 million to $25 million.
