American Ballet Theater director Mikhail Baryshnikov won the Harvard University Hasty Pudding Theater Club Man of the Year on Tuesday night--and got a child-size tutu as a reward. The nation’s oldest theater organization honored Baryshnikov as “one of the greatest dancers alive, who inspires an impressive range of audiences.” Baryshnikov told the crowded theater, “I am truly very proud” and drew laughter and applause when he added, “I think it is the equivalent of certain medals of heroism and bravery.”
