El Segundo-based Wyle Laboratories posted sharply higher profit and sales from continuing operations for the year and fourth quarter ended Jan. 31. This was the sixth consecutive quarter of higher income from continuing operations, after excluding the first quarter’s $895,000 gain on the sale of land, a spokesman said. The year reflected a significant recovery in the operating results of the firm’s Electronics Marketing Group and an all-time record performance by the Scientific Services & Systems Group, he added.
