A former Van Nuys Superior Court clerk who admitted removing records of drunk-driving arrests was sentenced to a year in jail and fined $1,500. San Fernando Superior Court Judge Robert D. Fratianne, in pronouncing sentence, said Beryl Rebecca Vinson, 25, of Granada Hills had violated a public trust. The judge also issued a bench warrant for the arrest of Vinson’s estranged husband, Richard, also, 25, alleged mastermind of the fixing scheme who failed to appear for sentencing. The latter’s attorney said he had called from Phoenix to say he was snowed in there.
