Home Inspector Tells How to Find a Good One

Share

Buying a house, other than new, is like buying a used car. If you rely on the seller to disclose all negatives, you are one of those people P. T. Barnum spoke of. You know, a sucker being born every minute.

To be as safe in your purchase as is possible, get it inspected by someone who has been a building inspector, general building contractor, or equal. His responsibility is to you.

From what I see in the disclosure statement signed by both seller and agent it’s one of those “you lie and I’ll swear to it,” deals.
