Former rock ‘n’ roller Richard (Little Richard) Penniman opened a fund drive to find a cure for sickle cell anemia, telling fans that “we don’t have one yet, so let’s be like the mustard and catch up.” Funds raised at 7-Eleven stores will go to the Sickle Cell Disease Research Foundation, which will mark its 30th anniversary in April.
