Seattle Seahawk Coach Chuck Knox and entertainers Dinah Shore and Jamie Farr are among 220 amateurs who will play today with 55 professionals in the GNA/Glendale Federal LPGA pro-am at the Oakmont Country Club in Glendale.
The scramblers competition over the par-72 course will start at 6:45 a.m. The $250,000 tournament will begin Thursday.
Defending champion Chris Johnson will play in the feature fivesome at noon with Shore, Vince Vociello, Leo Heydroff and Ray Edwards. Pat Bradley, LPGA player of the year, will start at 8:42 a.m. with a group that includes TV anchorman John Schubeck.
