I was surprised and dismayed by the viewpoint presented in the March 1 article about the joint San Diego-Del Mar City Council meeting held Feb. 24. The article presented a one-sided opinion of what happened at the joint meeting. It failed to mention the excellent slide-illustrated presentation given by the San Dieguito Lagoon Committee (a part of the Del Mar City Council); the ramifications involved in the dispute between Del Mar and the 22nd Agricultural District concerning lagoon preservation, and the San Dieguito River Valley Enhancement Plan. Not to mention reasons given by public testimony in favor of lagoon preservation.

I don’t expect coverage of every detail in an article, however, I would like to have seen better overall coverage of the complete story.

I attended the meeting and heard, obviously, more than the author of the article did.
