FRANKLIN, N.J. — A 36-car freight train hauling hazardous material derailed and caught fire, forcing residents to flee their homes Monday until firefighters stopped the blaze from reaching the dangerous cargo, authorities said. No injuries were reported, a police dispatcher said.
