Students Skip Meal to Aid Food Bank
UC San Diego students have raised $1,011.50 for the San Diego Food Bank during their second annual sign-away meal fund-raiser, sponsored by Muir College.
The students were asked to skip a dinner, with the funds being diverted to the food bank. About 700 students participated this year, said Blue Robbins, college adviser at Muir.
