Gremlins Struck Again
I laughed with columnist James Flanigan at UAL’s recent name change to Allegis. (“Allegis Needs to Make a Name for Itself Fast,” Feb. 20)
According to Flanigan, Allegis is a computer-generated non-word derived from allegiance and aegis. To me it sounds too much like allergy.
It would seem as if the computer glitch gremlins have struck again.
