A musical drama not seen since 1160 opened Thursday night in Chicago. The American Medieval Players will perform “Apocalypse Then: The 12th Century music-drama Play of Antichrist,” which features about 90 minutes of wars across Europe, victory by the Antichrist, and ends with a thunderbolt from God and the redemption of mankind. It took eight months for the Players to put the play together in a way that is comprehensible for a 20th-Century American audience.
