Water Quality Reported Worsening in Great Lakes

OTTAWA —
Water quality problems on the Great Lakes are getting worse instead of better, says the latest report on the subject from the International Joint Commission.
Canada and the United States have done much to resolve those problems, but both countries must increase their efforts simply to keep pace with pollution, said the report, released Wednesday. It says that more and more toxic chemicals are being produced and entering the food chain.
