Man’s identity sought: Coroner’s deputies Saturday were still attempting to identify a transient whose body was found Friday near the Euclid Street on-ramp of the Riverside Freeway. The man had apparently been living in the bushes along the freeway. His body was found by a Caltrans worker, said Supervising Deputy Coroner Richard Slaughter. The man, who had been dead about a week and had no identification, is described as Caucasian, 5 feet, 1 1/2 inches tall and weighing 99 pounds. Slaughter said the man, who may have been Latino, has black hair and brown eyes. The cause of death is unknown, but coroner’s deputies have ruled out foul play, said Slaughter, who asked that anyone with information about the man call the coroner’s office at 834-4392.
