Plans to colorize "Some Like It Hot" have been shelved for the time being, MGM/UA Chairman Lee Rich told Daily Variety on Monday. "We just have no need at this time to color any picture," Rich said. The trade paper previously reported that the black-and-white classic would be colorized without director Billy Wilder's supervision, after the Directors Guild of America refused to give him approval to proceed.
