Three men were arrested Monday night during a disturbance that broke out at the Palace rock club in Hollywood when 700 to 1,000 people tried to force their way inside to see the funk musicians Klymaxx and Bunny DeBarge. Management of the Vine Street nightclub called the police about 10 p.m. when it could not prevent people from forcing their way into the building, which was filled to the legal capacity of 1,200, said police Sgt. Tom Moselle. Officers found hundreds of people clustered around the dance club, pushing and shoving others who were trying to get out. Two men were arrested for battery on the police and another for assault with a deadly weapon on a private security guard, Moselle said.
