7 Hurt at Chicago Airport as 164 Flee Smoking Plane

CHICAGO —
An American Airlines DC-10 jet carrying 164 passengers was evacuated Wednesday at O’Hare International Airport after it made an emergency landing when smoke was detected in the cockpit, authorities said. Seven passengers suffered minor injuries when using emergency exit slides. The cause of the smoke has not been determined.
