2 in Walkathon Die, 16 Hurt as Truck Hits Car

OXFORD, Miss. —
A truck hauling a hay bailer rammed a car trailing a group of University of Mississippi sorority sisters on a charity walkathon Thursday, killing two people and injuring 16 others, authorities said.
Donald O’Cain of the Mississippi Highway Patrol said several members of the Chi Omega sorority were in a car with its flashers blinking, guarding other students in the walkathon, when the truck came over a hill on Highway 6.
