Villanova not only scored in double figures Friday, it accomplished the feat in one inning. Villanova took advantage of seven passed balls and scored 24 runs in the first inning en route to a 31-12 softball victory over Highland Hall in a nonleague game at Villanova.

“We have a young team and our catcher is only a freshman,” Highland Hall Coach Humberto Ramirez said. “It wasn’t the pitcher’s fault. We just need to work on catching the ball.”
