Boston Red Sox catcher Rich Gedman, frustrated by his free agent negotiations, said Friday he will take the same tough posture as teammate Roger Clemens and sit out the 1987 season if necessary. Gedman, a two-time All-Star, worked out in Houston Friday with Clemens, who walked out of the Red Sox training camp earlier this month in a contract dispute.
