An antitrust suit by actor Paul Newman and director George Roy Hill, claiming they got stung on home-video revenue from their hit movie “The Sting,” was rejected Monday by a federal appeals court. The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals--upholding a lower court’s ruling--said Newman and Hill’s claim that Universal Pictures conspired with other movie studios to reduce artists’ share of the profits from video sales and rentals could not support an antitrust suit.
