Narcotics investigators from Glendale and West Covina joined forces with the federal Drug Enforcement Administration to arrest six suspects and confiscate 161 pounds of cocaine. A police spokesman said the investigation began with information that cocaine was being sold at a house in Woodland Hills, and federal agents were brought into the case when it was learned that some of the suspected traffickers were Colombians. Three suspects were arrested when officers observed what they said was a large drug transaction in a West Los Angeles parking lot; three others were taken into custody when search warrants were used to uncover more cocaine in the trunks of two motor vehicles. All the suspects were booked at West Covina police headquarters on charges of suspicion of conspiracy, possession of drugs and possession of drugs for sale.
