A laborer suspected of a 1981 slaying outside a Santa Ana bar was arrested after police learned where he was living, police said Friday.

Jesus Romero Villa(, 32, is suspected of stabbing Israel Marchado, 28, in the chest after telling him, “I don’t like the way you looked at me,” said Santa Ana Police Sgt. Collie Provence).

Police said Marchado and two friends, Pablo Rodriguez, now 31, and Arturo Medina, now 35, were leaving the El Siete Lecuas Bar at 210 E. Warner Ave. on Sept. 27, 1981, when a man approached them. Machado was stabbed in the chest and died at the scene, police said.
