“Legends.” Dunhill (AAD). The 20 songs in this 48-minute, CD-only collection first appeared on Sun Records, the remarkable Memphis label that launched the careers of four of the first 25 artists inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame: Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Roy Orbison and Carl Perkins. All but Elvis are represented--along with early tracks from Johnny Cash and Charlie Rich. Sound quality is outstanding, but the song choices vary from Sun classics (“Blue Suede Shoes,” “Great Balls of Fire”) to a half-dozen marginal numbers. ***
