Car Strikes Children at Bus Stop; Girl Killed

NORTH AMITYVILLE, N.Y. —
A car went out of control and struck a group of children waiting for a school bus Tuesday, killing a 12-year-old girl and seriously injuring twin sisters, police said.
The driver of the car told police she applied her brakes and lost control when a car in front of her stopped short.
