After biting two students, a 20-pound pit bull scattered screaming students as it raced through the hallways of a Livermore elementary school in Northern California and was herded into what was thought to be the empty office of Principal Dick Allison. The problem was that a girl was in the office and the door, once locked, could only be opened from the inside. Responding to a teacher’s instructions, the frightened girl approached the door slowly and escaped. Students Joey Torrice and Robert Diaz were treated for bites. The dog was muzzled and taken to an animal shelter.
