Local News in Brief : Woman, 24, Killed as Car Hits Tree in Reseda
A Van Nuys woman died when she was flung through the rear window of her car after it struck a tree Friday in Reseda, Los Angeles police said.
Andrea Lynn Galindo, 24, was driving south in the 6300 block of Lindley Avenue shortly before 3 a.m., Officer Stephen Lenker said. Her car veered off the road and jumped the curb, he said. As the car struck a tree in front of a house, it apparently spun around and Galindo was thrown out, landing at the front door of the house, he said.
Galindo was pronounced dead at the scene, Lenker said.
