Police have arrested two brothers--one on parole--who are suspected of stealing more than $3,000 worth of television sets, videotape equipment and other items from a motor home dealership, a police spokesman said Friday.

Rodney L. Stopher, 32, and Jerry Stopher, 21, both of Santa Ana, were arrested early Thursday morning after police received a call from a guard at the Traveland USA dealership on Sand Canyon Avenue, Lt. Mike White said.

The television equipment and a stolen flashlight bearing the initials of a retired Irvine police officer were found in the trunk of the Stophers’ 1972 Buick, White said.

Rodney L. Stopher, who had previously been sought by authorities for violation of parole for a burglary-related offense, was booked into Orange County Jail without bail, White said. Jerry Stopher was held in lieu of $10,000 bail.

Police say the brothers are suspects in about 60 burglaries at Traveland and nearby motor home dealerships, White said.
