Abortion opponents lay in front of cars and shouted “Please don’t kill your baby” to women entering a clinic at Chamblee, Ga., and 79 people were arrested. The demonstration at Northside Women’s Clinic was promoted by a three-day “anti-abortion workshop” in nearby Atlanta, said Police Chief Reed Miller. He said that about 50 police used vans to round up the protesters, who sang hymns as they awaited booking on charges of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and trespassing. One of those arrested, a patient returning to the clinic for follow-up treatment, was charged with displaying a weapon.
