The medical examiner for El Paso County in Texas failed to find a cause of death for Hernell (Jeep) Jackson, the University of Texas El Paso and Gardena High basketball player who collapsed and died during an exhibition game Saturday.
Jackson, of Carson, Calif., was thought to have died of cardiac arrest, but preliminary autopsy findings Monday were inconclusive. Dr. Juan Contin of the El Paso County medical examiner’s office said it will probably be several days before toxicology and other tests were completed.
