Share

A reggae concert May 24 in King Harbor will benefit two local organizations that help youths overcome and avoid drug problems.

The City Council this week approved the benefit, which is expected to raise $2,000 to $3,000 for Project Touch, a South Bay program for youths with drug-related problems, and the local chapter of the Just Say No Foundation, which offers counseling and other services to youths.

Three reggae bands and a calypso/steel drum band are scheduled for the event, which will be held from noon to 8 p.m. at the Sport Center Bar & Grill. Tickets range from $10 to $20.
