DOUBLE <i> DEJA VU</i>

Gulp.

Gidget’s getting together with Gilligan--this week, on the island of Oahu. Yep, “The New Gidget” is filming an episode (to air in the fall) titled “Gilligidge Island” with Alan Hale Jr. and Bob Denver naturally reprising their “classic” Skipper and Gilligan roles from “Gilligan’s Island.”

The story line--in case you must know--goes like this: Gidget (Caryn Richman), Moondoggie, their niece and her best gal pal get shipwrecked on a small Hawaiian island--along with Skipper Hale, who runs the ship, the Minnow II.

Gidge and Co. are captured by hostile natives. Things look pretty bleak for the gang until the tribe’s shaman appears, rips off his mask and turns out to be . . . none other than Gilligan!
