Another lawsuit, asking $60 million in damages, was filed in San Francisco federal court against fugitive former Argentine Gen. Carlos Suarez Mason by two women who say their husbands were murdered in the military prison he ran. The first suit was filed a week ago by three people who claimed they were abducted and tortured by soldiers he commanded. Suarez Mason, 63, who oversaw La Plata prison from 1976 to 1979, was arrested in January at his home in Foster City, south of San Francisco, and awaits extradition proceedings. The Argentine government has accused him of 43 murders, 24 kidnapings and passport fraud.
