Share

The City Council is seeking applicants for the position of community safety commissioner to replace Pat Piercy, who resigned in April when her husband was elected to the council.

The new commissioner will fill the unexpired portion of Mrs. Piercy’s two-year term, which ends in April, 1988.

The Safety Commission studies Lakewood’s highway and traffic safety needs with the assistance of the city’s traffic engineer and meets at 7:30 p.m. the first Monday of each month in the City Council chamber. Commissioners receive $35 per meeting, not to exceed two meetings a month.
