West Los Angeles : Demolition Permit OKd
To the relief of many residents, developer Stan Dorn has received a city permit to demolish two apartment buildings at 2017-2025 S. Beverly Glen Blvd. to build condominiums.
Neighbors had been concerned because the apartments, vacant for about three months, have attracted transients. Residents said they were worried about their personal safety as well as vandalism and fire hazards.
The developer was not immediately able to obtain a demolition permit because he did not follow the proper procedures in seeking city approval for his plans, city officials said.
