46 Bus Riders Drowned

KHARTOUM, Sudan —
A bus plunged into the Nile River in central Sudan, drowning 46 women and children, a police spokesman said Saturday. The spokesman said the driver lost control of the vehicle Thursday and missed a ramp leading to a river ferry at Kamlin, 56 miles southeast of Khartoum.
