Santa Ana : Summer Jobs Ready for Santa Ana Youths
Summer positions for typists, medical lab assistants, recreation leaders, stock clerks and other categories are available to Santa Ana youths between the ages of 16 and 21.
Applications for the jobs, offered in association with Rancho Santiago College and the federally funded Job Training Partnership Act, are available through the college. Early application is encouraged because demand for the jobs, which pay about $5 an hour, is usually high.
The jobs begin June 22 and end Aug. 31. The program allows youths to earn money while accumulating work experience and employer references. Many of the jobs can lead to full-time, permanent employment, according to the college.
