POPPING BACK : CLASSIC ROCK--THE PEOPLE SPEAK

Share

In the Popping Off column on May 10, Chris Willman criticized the “classic rock” radio format for its narrow definition of classic rock and for discouraging diversity in programming. Here’s a sample of reader response.

Willman’s sounding like Robert Hilburn. . . . If he doesn’t like it, it can’t be any good. He probably doesn’t even listen to the radio. Apparently no station is good enough for him.

Classic rock ‘n’ roll never dies. It’ll always be hot. The old, the new, and everything in between. . . . If it’s great, it’s great!

KLSX has a formula that works and many, many people are glad to have it. If Chris Willman doesn’t like it, he doesn’t have to listen to it. Let him go back to his New Music stations.
