Baker’s Wife Undergoing ‘Routine Tests’ in Hospital

WASHINGTON — Joy Baker, wife of White House Chief of Staff Howard H. Baker Jr., is undergoing “routine tests” at Georgetown University Hospital, a White House spokesman said Tuesday. Assistant Press Secretary Ben Jarrett said that Mrs. Baker was undergoing the tests as a follow-up to gastrointestinal surgery she had last year.
