Mike Tyson will defend his heavyweight boxing title in Japan next year if he’s successful in title defenses in the United States.

Tyson will meet an as yet unspecified opponent in Tokyo March 21, co-manager Joe Jacobs said. Jacobs also said that Tyson was due to defend his title twice more in the United States this year if he wins Saturday’s fight with Pinklon Thomas, former World Boxing Council champion, in Las Vegas.
