Brush off your polkas, comrades: The Soviet Union is hosting an international ballroom dancing contest for the first time on Friday. The official Tass news agency said that the three-day competition is expected to attract dancers from West Germany, Britain and Norway, as well as hoofers from East European countries. The Soviet news agency Tass said all categories of dance would be represented, from the waltz to the samba to the furiant , a Czech folk dance.
