Share

Police Chief James Moore and City Manager Brice Stephenson have announced that they will retire on June 30.

Moore, 61, has been with the Police Department since 1951 and was appointed chief in 1963. He will be honored at a farewell dinner June 24 in the University Club of Pasadena. Capt. Jack Yeske has been named acting chief, beginning July 1.

Stephenson, 79, was hired as San Marino’s part-time city manager in 1983 after retiring earlier that year as city manager in Lawndale. As his duties in San Marino increased, the job became a full-time position.
