Malibu : RTD to Cut Service on Route

Share

The Southern California Rapid Transit District on June 21 will begin a four-month experimental project that will involve changes to Line 434.

A portion of the bus route that runs along Sunset Boulevard and Temescal Canyon Road will be dropped. The RTD will reduce the number of daily morning express trips to downtown Los Angeles from the Malibu-Trancas area from three to one. The number of express trips from downtown to Malibu-Trancas will also be reduced, from four to one.

Service on Line 434 will be extended from Santa Monica to the West Los Angeles Transit Center, 5702 Apple St., enabling riders to transfer to Line 439 that runs to and from downtown Los Angeles daily every 30 minutes.
