Charles (Lefty) Driesell, who lost his coaching job at the University of Maryland after the cocaine-induced death of basketball star Len Bias, reacted calmly to the acquittal of Brian Tribble.
“I feel just like I would about any other trial,” he said. “I guess justice was served.”
Tribble was charged with giving Bias the fatal dose of cocaine. Driesell testified during the seven-day trial that he was told last June 19, the day Bias died, that Tribble supplied the cocaine.
